How identity works in Rivet
Three layers, each separate so a change in one doesn’t break the others:- Identity — your email address. The magic-link sign-in confirms that you control it. There is no password.
- Trust for the session — the magic link itself, plus (on phones) Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint if you’ve turned Biometric Unlock on in the account panel.
- Convenience — your session stays signed in for 90 days of activity. Open Rivet at least once a quarter and you’ll never see a sign-in screen.
